Palau

This stems from a wonderful project funded by the Research Institute for Island Studies at the University of the Ryukyus, which was led by Professor Furukawa Koji and examined “Comparative border research on island countries and regions of the Asia-Pacific: the Yaeyamas and Palau”. I was responsible for thinking about War Memory and Heritage on the project, which fed into my conceptualization of Borders of Memory. More publications on both Palau and the Yaeyamas are forthcoming.
